AhlulBayt News Agency: A silent march took place in the streets of Stockholm, Sweden, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to demand an end to the Zionist aggression against Gaza.
Demonstrators wore black clothing as a sign of mourning for Palestinian martyrs. They carried Palestinian flags, while women held white shrouds representing small children—a powerful statement against the killings of children in Gaza.
Many protesters wore medical uniforms to symbolize doctors and healthcare workers. They held signs condemning attacks on medical staff and hospitals in Gaza, emphasizing that international law prohibits such actions.
Some marchers carried empty pots and kitchenware, symbolizing the hunger crisis in Gaza and calling for an end to the blockade and immediate humanitarian aid.
Swedish citizens showed overwhelming support, with many observers along the streets visibly moved, some in tears.
Activists led the march with drums, expressing anger at the continuing assault on Gaza.
At the conclusion of the protest, participants laid down symbolic children’s shrouds and surrounded them with flowers, standing in silence to urge global action against the ongoing violence.
The head of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor commented, “There is a glimmer of hope in the awakening of the world’s conscience. It may be late—but it is desperately needed now.”
Despite the ceasefire agreement that started on January 19 and lasted nearly two months, the Israeli occupation army continues its operations.
With unconditional backing from the United States, Israeli forces have continued their assault on Gaza by land, sea, and air since October 7, 2023. Over 178,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured, with thousands still trapped under the rubble.
